I’ve been debating on whether to purchase an iPad for our center, and now I am several steps closer to getting one. There are so many amazing apps for children with special needs. From apps that help reinforce and teach social-communication skills to those that provide academic support, there’s so much out there already and so much more to come. The idea of having social stories, augmentative and alternative communication systems, educational games and activities, and electronic books rolled all into one device is exciting.
